All she had ever, ever wanted to do was fly.  And sometimes...in the early morning before she opened her eyes and the sunlight tied her back to the ground...she'd almost remember what it was like.
        Her parents announced to their friends at dinner one night, "We swear, sometimes we think Amy believes she's a bird."
        "Amy's a chicken!" her little brother shouted as he raced down the hall, Amy chasing close behind.
        "Timmy, don't tease your sister," they called as Timmy ducked into his bedroom and slammed the door in Amy's face.  "Those bandaids all over her-would you believe they're from falling out of a swing?"
